Aggregation of cross-border logistics information
What international logistics can be used to ship batteries?
Cross border logistics transportation also has many restrictions on products, with live products such as display batteries and power supplies being one of the restricted items. Due to the high risk of live products such as batteries being shipped to the United States, many international express deliveries do not support transportation.
1. What is the best route for pure batteries to the United States?
If it is a built-in battery product for small items, you can choose from the four major express delivery options: DHL, FedEx, UPS, and TNT; If it is a pure battery product or a relatively large battery quantity, choose a dedicated pure battery dedicated channel.
2. What does pure battery transportation require?
If batteries and products are shipped by international express delivery, some qualifications are also required.
Provide battery manufacturer certificate.
Provide battery trademark.
Provide the original seal stamped by the battery manufacturer.
The waybill, list, and invoice indicate the type of battery (lithium battery), type (PI965-PI968), and power (current * voltage).
If you lack any qualifications, your battery cannot be transported. If the logistics provider requires you to provide other information, the seller must also truthfully submit it.
3. Packaging requirements
(1) DHL International Express Packaging Requirements for Pure Batteries
1. Soft packaging and boxes are not accepted, and the inner boxes must be made of brown hard boxes;
2. The inner box can hold up to two pure battery items, such as mobile power supplies;
3. The inner box must be sealed and filled properly to ensure that the inner box does not shake or make any noise during transportation;
4. The outer box must be packaged using tough new alleys, and transparent tape is required instead of yellow tape for packaging;
5. The outer box needs to be labeled with a battery label that conforms to the aviation label;
6. On the waybill number and invoice, it is necessary to indicate all battery models and power of the entire shipment;
7. Different types of battery items, such as lithium batteries, ternary batteries, dry batteries, etc., cannot be mixed and transported in the same box.
(2) FedEx International Express Packaging Requirements for Pure Batteries
1. FedEx International Express does not accept lithium metal batteries;
2. Pure batteries require inner packaging and proper filling. The outer packaging box must be labeled with battery labels that comply with aviation standards;
3. A single package can only handle the same type of battery items and cannot be mixed and mailed;
4. Items with a battery power of 2.7WH have relatively small shipping requirements and are not limited in quantity. Items with battery power greater than 2.7WH and less than 20WH need to be packaged in inner boxes, and the quantity should be controlled within 8. Items with battery power greater than 20WH and less than 100WH have high shipping restrictions, and only two battery items can be placed in the inner box;
5. The waybill number or invoice should indicate the basic information of the battery, including model, power, category, etc.
(3) UPS International Express Packaging Requirements for Pure Batteries
1. Any pure battery item needs to be packaged in box to box packaging;
2. The outer packaging box must be labeled with battery labels that comply with aviation standards;
3. The interior of the packaging needs to be filled tightly, and there should be no sound when the box is shaken during transportation;
4. The inner box can only hold up to 2 pure battery items, and the weight of a single package must be within 10kg;
5. On the invoice or waybill number, it is necessary to indicate the basic information of the battery item, such as battery model, battery milliampere, battery power, etc;
6. Mail pure batteries through UPS, and different types of battery items cannot be mixed.
4. Customs declaration
Pure batteries are special sensitive items, so in terms of logistics and customs clearance, everyone must declare truthfully. If customs find that the item has low declaration, the product will be seized. In terms of declared product names, the main focus should be on general product names to ensure the rationality of customs clearance and compliance with customs clearance.
In general, if pure batteries are to be transported to the United States, the seller needs to prepare a lot of things. Otherwise, if the audit fails, they may be detained by customs, and more seriously, it may lead to some dangerous events. This is really not worth the loss;
